There is a new British Standard covering the contents of a first aid box. 

The new rules must be followed by, at the latest, the end of 2011.  Village Hall Information Sheet 15 (on health and safety legislation) gives full details and is available for free by email from Kevin Sawers, the Village Halls Adviser at Community Action Hampshire.
